Victor F. Montanez, Jr.

Victor F. Montanez, Jr., age 45, of Chicopee, passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center after a long illness. He was born in Holyoke, son of Victor F. Montanez and Elsa (Lopez) Santiago. Victor was a longtime truck driver, most recently working for the City of Northampton. Besides his parents, he is survived by his stepfather Raul Santiago, his son Haeden Montanez and his daughter Chelsie Montanez. He also leaves his siblings; sisters: Maria Montanez, Kayla Conde, Crystal Montanez, and Cynthia Montanez, and brothers: Christopher Montanez, Zacharia Montanez, Nathaniel Montanez, and Noah Montanez. Victor also leaves one grandchild, Ava Montanez and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Burial will be private.  Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Victor to the American Cancer Association, P.O. Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701. Please note that masks and social distancing is required for all services.
