Victor Olizarowicz, age 98, of Holyoke, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Renaissance Manor in Holyoke. He was born in Harrison, New Jersey on April 26, 1922 to the late Anthony and Antonette (Kulikowski) Olizarowicz and was educated in the local schools. Victor was employed as a steel slitter at Driver Harris in Harrison, NJ, both before and after serving in the United States Army during WWII. On June 28, 1947 Victor married his wife Albina (Palys) Olizarowicz at the former Mater Dolorosa Church, and they moved to Holyoke to make their permanent home a short time later; there they were blessed with one son, Stephen. Victor worked for many years as a foreman at Plainville Casting in Westfield. His beloved wife Albina predeceased him on August 4, 1989. Victor is survived by his son, Stephen Olizarowicz and his wife Ellen of Tewksbury, MA, as well as a sister-in-law, Mary Olizarowicz of NJ. Besides his parents and his wife, Victor was predeceased by his siblings: Anthony, Frances, Stella, and Wanda. All services for Victor were private and handled by the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local American Legion Post.
