Vivian C. Brunelle of Cape Coral, FL passed away on January 23, 2020 following a long illness. Born in Holyoke, MA, she was a graduate of Chicopee High School and a former High Neighbor Girl for Narragansett Brewing Company after graduating. During the 1980’s she was a runway model and a makeup artist before becoming a Massachusetts licensed aesthetician and was the owner/operator of Vivian’s Facial Images, a skin care salon in Ludlow, MA for 10 years. Vivian held a license as a Massachusetts Assistant Funeral Director at the Arthur J. Brunelle Funeral Home for many years, graduating from New England Institute of Mortuary Science in Boston, MA. She was a very talented artist, proficient in many artistic genres including; oil painting, porcelain doll artisanship and greeting card creation and artistry. She was also a US Navy reservist, serving in the WAVES for 2 years. Vivian is survived by her loving daughter and son Michelle R. Pelland of St. Cloud FL and Michael P. Pelland and daughter-in-law Marie (Garon) Pelland of Cape Coral, FL; two granddaughters, Melissa M. Pelland of Fort Myers, FL and Danielle M. (Pelland) Gabelbauer, and her husband Jason of Cape Coral, FL; her cherished great-granddaughter Olivia M. Gabelbauer; her sister, Carol Buckley of Clinton, MA and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, Rene S. Boissy and Cecile (Fortin) Boissy and her brother Alan R. Boissy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Rose de Lima Church, Grattan Street followed by burial at St. Rose de Lima Cemetery, both in the Aldenville section of Chicopee. Calling hours will be Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. Donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association, 6400 N.
