Warren Roland Tanguay, Jr., age 66, of Westfield, passed away on February 6, 2025. He was born in Holyoke on April 21, 1958 to Nancy Taugher and the late Warren Tanguay, Sr. and was a graduate of Holyoke High School, Class of 1976. Warren married his high school sweetheart, Marie, in 1986 and they moved to Springfield; after retirement they settled in Westfield. He retired after 31 years of dedicated service on the Holyoke Fire Department, ultimately as the Superintendent of the Alarm Division.

Many knew Warren as a loving, dependable, and honorable man. Whenever anyone would ask how he was, it was a prompt earnest answer of, “… living the dream.” In his free time, he sported many Hawaiian Shirts and enjoyed the peace of hunting, fishing, grilling, skiing, golf, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his loved ones.

Warren is survived and will be deeply missed by his high school sweetheart and loving wife of 39 years, Marie (Ann) Tanguay. He was the loving father to son, Warren Tanguay III and his wife, Kimberly Tanguay, and daughter, Ashley Tanguay Chudy and her husband, Zachary Chudy. He was the proud papa to granddaughters, Lily and Evie, and grandpa to grandson, Rhett. Warren also leaves his mother, Nancy Tanguay; brother, Wayne Tanguay; sister, Lori Tanguay; brothers-in-law, Dennis Murphy and Bob Lyle; many nieces and nephews; and all of his great friends- especially Bruce Vlohiotis, Jim Cavanaugh, and Steve Cohen, as well as all of his buddies at Froggies and his Fire Dept. friends. He is predeceased by his father, Warren Tanguay, Sr., and sister, Tammy Lyle.

The Tanguay family would like to give special thanks and appreciation to all the nursing angels at the infusion suite, his doctors, and the staff at The Sister Caritas Cancer Center at Mercy Hospital.

Calling hours will be held for Warren on Friday, February 14th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, Holyoke. A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
