Wayne Robert Murray

Wayne Robert Murray, age 68, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 6, 2022. He was born in Holyoke, son of Theresa (Pepin) Murray of Pelham and the late Robert N. Murray, and attended local schools. Wayne graduated from Asnuntuck Community College and was a “Jack of All Trades;” he worked over the years as a cook and a laborer, among other positions. He was a proud member of Vipers Motorcycle Club, and also enjoyed watching cowboy movies and spending time with his beloved grandchildren. Besides his mother, Wayne is survived by a son, Robert Murray of Springfield; a daughter, Catherine Hopkins and her husband Michael of Chicopee; grandchildren: Isabel, Kollin, Aidan, Autumn, and Connor; a sister, Michelle Murray of Westfield, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Service for Wayne on Monday, June 13th at 11:00 am at the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by burial in Forestdale Cemetery West, Rock Valley Road, both in Holyoke. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 9:00 to 11:00 am.
