William E. Brewster Obituary

William Edwin Brewster, 83, of Holyoke, formerly of Chicopee, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, at Day Brook Village in Holyoke. William was born in Springfield, Massachusetts son of the late William F. and Doris (Duval) Brewster and was educated in Springfield Schools. Bill served many years in the United States Navy Reserve and the United States Air Force Reserve, completing service in 1994. He worked in culinary services for many years for several local organizations including the Sisters of Providence Senior Care.

Bill is survived by his loving wife Helen V. (Cahill) Brewster, and his sister-in-law Cheryl Ann Leary and her husband Christopher Leary. In addition, he is survived by another brother-in-law Richard Cahill and his wife Ann Cahill along with Theresa Helein and her husband Jim Helein and niece Erin Cahill. Bill leaves his nephews Christopher Clark and his wife Tina Clark and nephew Christopher Cahill (Deceased). Bill is also survived by grandnieces Meg Helein and Ariella Clark and grandnephews Chase Helein and Robert Clark. Bill is also survived by his cousin Susan Masters who has been very supportive of Bill and his wife Helen over the past several months.

A private memorial service will be held at Day Brook Village to facilitate attendance by Bill’s wife Helen and a few of his friends at the facility. Following the private memorial service, at the convenience of the family members, interment at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Agawam Mass will take place.
