Zenaida Tavares

Zenaida Tavarez age 84, of Holyoke, MA passed away peacefully on Friday August 27, 2021 in her loving community at Holyoke Healthcare Center.

She was born on June 7, 1937 in Sabana Grande, Puerto Rico to Isaias and Mercedes (Vega) Sanabria.

Zenaida will always be remembered for her generousity. Although she didn’t have much, she loved to share what she could with her friends and family, and help anyone in any way she could. 

She was a master seamstress, and made beautiful dresses, blankets, curtains and so much more, sometimes even without needing to follow a pattern. 

Everyone would agree that she was an awesome cook. Her family can attest that she made the best pancakes and spanish beans. She also was always willing to teach whoever wanted to learn how to cook. 

She loved her coloring books and word puzzles which kept her mind sharp! 

But most of all, Zenaida loved reading her Bible every night before going to bed and praying to her heavenly father Jehovah. She was appreciative for her faith and spiritual brotherhood. 

Zenaida is predeceased by her son Louie Sanabria , and sister Alba I Vazquez. 

She is survived by her 2 sons Reinaldo Sanabria and Ricardo Tavarez. She is survived by her 3 sisters, Aurora Sanabria, Anna Polidoro and Auria Delgado. 

She is also survived by 2 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Zenaida was greatly loved and will be missed appreciably.
