Zina Kosko, 97, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on September 17, 2025. Born in Yusrkiewicz, Poland on May 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Ignacy and Maria (Harydowicz) Nafranowicz. She emigrated to the United States in 1949 and was employed at Adams Plastics and Elco Dress Company of Holyoke. After retirement, Zina enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends, puzzle making, gardening, knitting and crocheting many creations that she shared with family and friends.

Zina was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Walter, in 2016 and sister Anna Nafranowicz. She is survived by her son, Richard Kosko and his wife, Sandra of West Springfield. Her family is deeply grateful to Baystate Hospice, most especially Marsha, for their compassionate care and emotional support at a very difficult time.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 9 AM from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of the Cross Church, Holy Cross Avenue, both in Holyoke. Burial will take place at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 9 AM to 10:15 AM in the funeral home.
