HOLYOKE:  Albert Duczynski, age 84, of Holyoke, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in Juszkiewicz, Poland and came to the United States from Germany in 1950. Albert was a retired machinist at Rexnord Corporation in Springfield, and was a longtime communicant of the former Mater Dolorosa Parish in Holyoke. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Regina (Stankiewicz) Duczynski, two sons: Chet and his wife Barbara of Monson, and Greg and his wife Lisa of Ledyard CT; four grandchildren: Alyssa Merrifield, Mary Rufo, Adam Duczynski and Alex Duczynski; three great grandchildren: Kaia, Riley and Nora; and one sister, Aldona Cebulak of South Hadley. The funeral will be held Tuesday morning at 9:00 from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton Street, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Cross Church, 23 Sycamore Street, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, South Hadley. Calling hours will be held Monday, June 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
